Job Overview

The Commercial Advisory Manager is accountable for the leadership of assigned chain-specific store analysis needed to formulate selling stories in support of CCCI’s Marketing Strategies and Commercial Plans. The Commercial Advisory Manager provides retail customers insights and analysis about CCCI’s brands and packages, competition, the channel, and the shopper. The Commercial Advisory Manager fosters relationships with the retailer to gain their trust to consider CCCI the subject matter expert and lead as Category Captains to provide insights to specific categories across competitors. This individual also works closely with the retailer, the space team, and the sales team during business reviews, yearly cold vault resets, and the development of Collaborative Business Plans.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serves as primary lead for the development of reports and scorecards of category performance trends for key retail customers and internal Customer Development managers that are used to making business decisions
  •  Provide analysis against competitor performance and make adjustments to business plans as needed
  • Collaborates across disciplines and departments (Sales Team, Category Space Team, RGM) to develop information-based presentations to assist with solving business issues to identify opportunities and provide solutions and recommendations for retailers including Business Reviews and Pre and Post Reset Opportunities
  • Assess market conditions, category conditions, and shopper behavior and recommends strategies to meet and exceed company and retailer performance objectives
  • Collaborates with business partners on Product Key, Quality Control work, and projects for Convenience Retailers utilizing their Business Review Template

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • 3-5 Years of experience with data analytics, preferably with a CPG Company
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint Skills
  • Strong presentation and communication abilities with both external (customers) and internal partners
  • Proven knowledge of and experience with syndicated data (Nielsen, IRI) and shopper card data
  • Must have worked with some sort of syndicated data in the past

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (Marketing or general Business preferred field)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge acquired through 3 to up to 5 years of work experience
