Job Overview
The Collections Specialist I position is responsible for collecting overdue balances, sending customer statements, and resolving issues to and reduce the amount of accounts receivables. This position contributes to the improvement of cash flow by persistently delivering good customer service to every customer and efficiently processing payments and ACH conversions.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Administers the collection of all the outstanding accounts receivables from clients and customers by monitoring customer accounts daily.
- Provide customer statements on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly to avoid delinquency, and performing follow-up collection calls to the customers to resolve collection issues.
- Serves as a liaison to resolve customer billing and collection issues by collaborating with the various teams throughout the company to resolve outstanding invoice matters and obtaining relevant documents required by customers for payment.
- Ensures optimal collection of overdue balances by escalating concerns to management and Sales team regarding customers that are neither paying nor communicating.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Collection experience is a plus

Minimum Qualifications
- 2 years of education beyond high school in college or technical school
- Knowledge acquired through 1 to up to 3 years of work experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of education beyond high school in college or technical school (College degree preferred), Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration preferred
