Things you should know about working as an IT Development Engineer I (DevOps):

The IT Development Engineer I- (DevOps) will join an agile organization to help maintain and expand a rapidly growing Azure DevOps instance and the CICD pipelines.  The IT Development Engineer I- (DevOps) is responsible for helping maintain, configure, improve and govern the Coca-Cola Consolidated instance of Azure DevOps, including over 500 Build and Release definitions across 50+ Projects.  Due to our recently completed transition from TFS and on-premise applications to Azure DevOps and Azure-deployed applications in both PaaS and IaaS instances, the IT Development Engineer I- (DevOps) will help maintain, create and promote the established DevOps patterns and policies, working across multiple teams - Development, Infrastructure, Operations and Support - to facilitate and improve a DevOps lifecycle.

 What would success look like?

• Troubleshoot or write code in lower-level (C#, .Net, SQL, YAML, PowerShell) programming languages to optimize the performance and efficiency of an organization’s IT platform/infrastructure, including:

- Partnering with Developers to address Build Breaks or Release issues

- Writing PowerShell scripts to automate processes

- Writing code to gather data from Azure DevOps API

• Configures customizes, diagnoses, and enhances SAAS, Off the Shelf, In-House Developed or 3rd Party supplied systems software (e.g., operating systems software and utilities that manage access to peripherals, facilitate networking, manage memory allocation, manage file storage on hard drives, etc.), including:

- Creating and maintaining Build and Release definitions in Azure DevOps

- Managing releases to all environments

- Researching and proposing new opportunities in CICD and DevOps

- Maintaining Azure DevOps configurations, security licensing, extensions

- Maintaining Azure DevOps Source Control Branching policies and implementations

• Writes diagnostic programs to test integrated software/hardware systems and resolve system faults to indicate that program is not functioning properly or meeting the technical/functional requirements.

- Integrating with other tools used by CCCI to improve automated workflows

- Promoting CICD and DevOps within the Development organization

• Participates in Scrum events (Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective), and Backlog Grooming and coaching team(s) to become self-organizing and self-managing.
• Participates in rotational on-call support, maintenance activities and other duties as determined by the team.

• Strong understanding of data

 Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 2-5 years of Release Automation experience, with 1 year of experience on TFS\VSTS\Azure DevOps in Azure environment
• Experience implementing or rolling out Azure DevOps including the configuration and set up of Azure DevOps
• Experience in an PaaS, IaaS cloud environment
• Experience with CI / CD as well as creating and utilizing Build and Release definitions
• Scripting experience (PowerShell, YAML)
• Experience within an Agile environment
• Experience as a developer in the Microsoft stack (.NET, SQL)

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology Business or related field
• Professional certification within the DevOps Domain
• 2-5 years of experience in Information Technology or equivalent relevant work experience
