Job Overview

The Lead Inventory Clerk is responsible for all Warehouse Inventory Control Processes and ensuring accurate records are maintained in accordance with Company Policies. The Lead Inventory Clerk will lead and assist with the Physical Count Process and Inventory Reconciliation, conducting and assisting with investigating and, if necessary, correcting all discovered discrepancies. Lead InventoryClerk also ensures all Quarterly, Monthly, Weekly, and Daily Requirements are achieved and communicates important viable information regarding the condition, trends, or processes impacting the ability to maintain adequate control of the Inventory with Warehouse Management and Operations. The Lead Inventory Clerk will provide feedback on performance, assist in interviewing potential candidates, provide direction of work to the assigned team, and provide guidance and support to the specific area of responsibility and, orteam as designated by the Warehouse Manager.



Duties & Responsibilities

  • Leads, assists, and directs activities with the physical counts to ensure accurate inventory levels.
  • Assists in the research of discovered inventory discrepancies and ensure resolution if possible.
  • Ensures all required inventory documentation and processes are completed, reviewed, and filed appropriately.
  • Analyzes Inventory information to determine trends and processes, which are impacting the control of the Inventory, and communicates findings to Warehouse Management and Operations.
  • Trains and leads Inventory Personnel and evaluates processes striving for continuous improvements.
  • Communicates identified process improvements with warehouse management, operations, product supply planners, production facilities, and other departments.
  • Performs other duties assigned by Warehouse Management including, but not limited to, pallet building when and if required.
  • Supports, leads, and motivates a team to deliver results by communicating company goals, safety practices, and deadlines.
  • Engage and develop teammates through effective on-the-job coaching and training
  • Implement continuous improvement methods while maintaining customer focus, and embody company purpose and values to inspire servant leadership.
  • Influences and advises management on performance management matters.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.


Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Extensive Knowledge of all Warehouse Processes, and a high degree of proficiency in all Warehouse Systems (SAP).
  • Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Strong PC Skills including Microsoft Office applications and SharePoint and the ability to prioritize tasks and assignments while promoting a team environment.
  • Ability to multi-task, organize, and delegate tasks to others.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced atmosphere while walking and repetitively lifting 30 lbs.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to collaborate within a team environment.
  • Ability to coordinate and organize efficient and dependable warehouse processes.
  • Ability to adapt to needs of role in different work areas throughout the workday and meet minimum expectations of those different work areas.
  • Ability to read and interpret instructions from a computer screen.
  • Attention to detail and ability to differentiate our packages.
  • Ability to work in a noisy and non-climate controlled (Hot in summer, cold in winter) environment.
  • Intentional self-starter who takes initiative and proactively seeks out value-add opportunities.
  • Flexibility (Schedules, Hours change with the demands of the business).


Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Knowledge acquired through 3 to up to 5 years of work experience
  • PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) Certification: Pallet Jack, Forklift
