Job Overview

The Maintenance Business Development Partner role will create and manage an individual portfolio of accounts while working in a team environment. Business generated through inside and outside sales of industry referrals, prospecting, and business to business selling. This role addresses concerns and implements solutions for both established, as well as prospective customers. The Maintenance Business Development Partner will also play a key role in the continued growth for the Red Classic Solutions and Services within our Maintenance network.



Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develops customer sales plans which contribute to the achievement of annual new business revenue and new customer goals through educating and selling potential customers on the benefits of Red Classic solutions and services.
  • Focused on generating new business and proactively developing a new portfolio of clients though business referrals, prospecting, and business to business selling.
  • Serves as an integral part of the Red Classic Customer Management team contributing to the financial growth the organization and looking for process improvement opportunities.
  • Analyzes profitability of prospects and reports to business leaders to enable informed decision making.
  • Maintains a complete understanding of the competitive influences and risks within each account, in order to proactively work to earn customers business.


Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Minimum of 3 years of Sales industry within the diesel maintenance industry
  • Basic understanding of business and project management fundamentals
  • Must be comfortable with “cold calling” and prospecting plans for both existing and new customers
  • Must possess good customer service and closing techniques skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to sell into new accounts but also understand internal capacity
  • Ability to manage customers and also foster a cross departmental collaboration
  • Extensive computer knowledge 
  • Attention to detail and confident decision-making skills
  • Excellent driving history
  • Salesforce knowledge would be a plus


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (4 years)
  • Knowledge acquired through 3 to up to 5 years of work experience


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with course work in business and/or marketing or equivalent job related experiences is preferred


Work Environment

  • Travel for this role will be up to 75%
