Job Overview

The Red Classic Director, Talent Acquisition/Driver Recruiting is responsible for setting the vision, strategy, and leadership for the Talent Acquisition team dedicated to attracting and hiring the best talent for our Red Classic team. The Director will be a hands-on agile leader who can develop and drive short/long term recruitment strategies, process-oriented, and utilizes best practices to manage the full life cycle recruitment process. This role must possess excellent communication, organizational, negotiation, and presentation skills, including the ability to effectively influence senior management. This position must also have the ability to strengthen employer branding strategies and practices including digital/social channels, engaging local communities and partners, and will be responsible for managing external vendor relationships. The Director will monitor and analyze monthly hiring activities to determine staffing effectiveness across the company and will have a budget, P and L, and compliance responsibilities.



Duties & Responsibilities

  • Directs, leads, and motivates a team to deliver results by communicating company goals and deadlines; engaging and developing teammates through effective performance management, coaching, and training; implementing continuous improvement methods while maintaining customer focus; and embodying company purpose and values to inspire servant leadership
  • Leads and motivates a high performing Talent Acquisition team to ensure all have a thorough understanding of the businesses they support to locate, engage and attract prospective candidates
  • Connects with Leadership to anticipate upcoming talent needs and recommend improvements to full recruitment lifecycle
  • Tracks and analyzes a strong portfolio of talent metrics to measure and quantify success, influence talent strategies, and educate partners on key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Manages team budget through P and L responsibility, annual planning and budgeting, and Contract Management with emphasis on making data-driven recommendations for new resources and solutions
  • Improves candidate pipelines for all open positions using innovative sourcing channels by driving effective recruitment strategies with job board partners


Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Ideal candidates will have previous experience leading a team of recruiters and managers. Strong communicator and Team leadership skills.
  • Ability to impact and achieve staffing needs, working in a fast-paced, high energy environment of competing priorities with tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of employment laws to ensure compliance with governmental regulations, DOT and corporate policies
  • Experience with Driver Recruitment, Retention, Advertising, Marketing
  • Experience with ATS/HRIS, Social Media/Marketing, AI and other cutting-edge recruitment technology
  • Must be able to work with multiple departments to ensure success for the entire company
  • Previous experience with P&L, budgeting, KPI's and successful departmental objectives


Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of recruitment management experience leading a high volume team of Talent Acquisition professionals


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (4 years) from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience
  • Knowledge acquired through 5 to up to 7 years of work experience
