Job Overview

The Sr. Commercial Advisory Manager leads assigned chain-specific analysis and ongoing reporting to support selling stories for CCCI Marketing Strategies and the creation of Collaborative Business Plans with retail customers to achieve agreed upon KPI’s. The Sr. Commercial Advisory Manager is considered the customers’ trusted partner and subject matter expert in non-alcoholic beverage trends with a strong lens to all competitors, the channel, and shoppers. The Sr. Commercial Advisory Manager provides trends, insights, and recommendations that ultimately grow sales and profit for the retailer and CCCI.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serves as primary lead for the development of reports and scorecards of category performance trends for key retail customers and internal Customer Development managers that are used to make business decisions
  • Provide analysis against competitor performance and adjust business plans as needed. Leverages multiple data sources including shopper card, scan (Nielsen, IRI) and shopper data (iSHOP), Channel Facts (Numerator), and internal sales data
  • Collaborates across disciplines and departments to develop information-based presentations to assist with solving critical business issues, identify opportunities and provide solutions and recommendations for multiple audiences including retailers, marketing, senior leadership, sales teams, and Revenue Growth Management
  • Assesses market and category conditions and shopper behavior to recommend strategies to meet and exceed company and retailer sales performance objectives such as volume, share, revenue, and gross profit
  • Serves as a mentor to Commercial Advisory Managers to foster continued growth and learning
  • Collaborates with partners within the bottling system for key data sources including scan and loyalty card data such as Nielsen, 84.51, EYC, IRI, iSHOP, BEV360, etc.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • 5-8 Years Category Management experience with a CPG company
  • Experience working with syndicated data (IRI, Nielsen) and shopper card data
  • Proven presentation and communication abilities with both external (customers) and internal partners
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Must have worked with some sort of syndicated data in the past

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (Preferred field of study: Marketing or General Business)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge acquired through 5 to up to 7 years of work experience
