Job Overview

The Assistant Sales Supervisor is responsible for supporting the Sales Supervisors to ensure the efficient delivery and merchandising of company products while meeting Company objectives, distribution, and sales goals. This person is responsible for assisting Management with skill development for merchandisers through coaching and proper training techniques. The Assistant Sales Supervisor will be the first leadership position to run any open routes, which may include specified activities per route discipline (bulk, conventional, full service, and cold bottle).



Duties & Responsibilities

  • Partners with the Supervisor to teach, train, and coach route salesmen on processes and procedures necessary to maximize sales and profitability within assigned accounts while maintaining and, or exceeding satisfactory customer service.
  • Consistently plans and documents route rides with route salesmen to ensure “RED” or Right Execution Daily, looking for continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Manages and tracks the timely execution of ALL sales programs and initiatives in the assigned territory to ensure maximum sales and profitability for the Company and the Customer.
  • Partners with customers to identify needs and looks for opportunities to support their business and to increase sales, space, and productivity in an account while maintaining and, or exceeding satisfactory customer service.
  • Spends time investing in personal career development and skill development of self and teammates, looking for ways to grow and encouraging the growth of others
  •  Looks for continuous improvement opportunities and partners with management to establish behaviors that ensure a safe and cohesive working environment.
  • Ensures teammates are trained on safe working techniques in the trade and that they have the proper equipment.

  • Up to 12 months of progressive management experience in soft drink and beverage industry or related industry strongly preferred
  • Excellent PC skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed


Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Class A CDL Drivers License or the ability to obtain one


Preferred Qualifications

  • College Degree
